To begin the process, we need to collect some basic information about the coil you need. For a budgetary quote, we need to know the type of coil (i.e. hot water), fin height and fin length, fins per inch, number of rows (deep), tube O.D., and, if required, special materials or coatings.
The aforementioned data will suffice for a budgetary quote. Visit the Coil Requirement Questionnaire for a better understanding of the information we need to build you a perfect custom or replacement coil!
Yes. This is one of the most common questions we are asked. The big OEMs have been around a long time; that means many OEM products are now obsolete. More and more customers are turning to CRC for our responsiveness, premier customer service, quality products, and ability to provide direct replacement coils.
CRC always recommends a protective coating if your coil(s) are located in harsh environments (i.e. automotive paint houses, chlorinated pool facilities, coastal sea areas, manufacturing plants, locations with high sun exposure, medical/pharmaceutical environments). CRC offers numerous coating options that provide coils with an additional level of protection. Additionally, CRC is able to coat coils that currently reside inside your facility.
Freeze damage is one of the leading causes of coil failure in the HVAC industry. Water expands as it begins to freeze, and the subsequent pressure builds rapidly within the coil. The elevated pressure will surely bulge and split the coil tubes and/or return-bends. Cooney Freeze Block™ Coils are designed to allow expansion to occur within the coil, by discharging a small volume of water through our patented expansion header – pressure relief valve design.
